With 2009 behind us (which many of us are thankful for), I thought it might be interesting to look at the top 50 radio markets ranked by estimated radio revenue. I used the BIA numbers for the estimates. Here is how they shake out ($000):

    I was a tad surprised to see that my original hometown market of Harrisonburg VA - where I cut my teeth in radio - comes across as one of the most over-performing markets being #272 in size but #187 in revenue. Guess my old college roomie, CC GM Steve Davis, is doing OK over there!
